Infant Program 6-18 monthsTeacher / Child ratio 1:3
Our infant program offers a stimulating and nurturing environment that is meant to meet the needs of each child. We believe so strongly in creating a calm and nurturing atmosphere for our infants that we have capped our infant limit to 6 per day. From our experience, we have seen the importance of creating lasting bonds and taking the time to understand and care for each individual child. Outdoor and indoor daily activities include; sensory based materials, crafts, age appropriate toys, and music which are put into place to provide a safe place where infants are free to explore. Parents are responsible for providing formula, diapers, wipes, creams and any baby food needed for their infants, all of which must be clearly labelled with the infant’s name. Once your child begins to eat table food, the Centre will provide the food and 2% or Homo milk. We ask that you provide enough bottles to accommodate your child’s feeding schedule. |
Toddler Program 18 months - 21/2 yearsTeacher / Child ratio 1:5
Toddlers are constantly on the go as they learn and explore all that is around them! We provide familiarity with routine and daily experiences that encourage toddlers to feel comfortable and secure in exploring their surroundings. We encourage independence, communication and social skills as they participate in various areas which include; sensory, art, dramatic, gross and fine motor, and early literacy etc. A wide variety of planned indoor and outdoor activities are included each day. Parents are responsible for providing all diapers, wipes and creams needed for their toddlers. |
Preschool Program 21/2 - 5 yearsTeacher / Child ratio 1:8
At The Children’s Path we know the benefits of preparing your children for school. Research shows that, “Children who attend high-quality preschool enter kindergarten with better pre-reading skills, richer vocabularies, and stronger basic math skills than those who do not," says NIEER director W. Steven Barnett, PhD. The Children’s Path preschool program allows children to explore freely, while also becoming accustomed to daily routine through activities which will prepare them for the school system. These activities include; small and large group exercises, discovery areas, outdoor play, art, dramatic, sensory, early literacy and math. Our preschool program complements the ELECT framework; as well as is a mixed aged group setting, which includes ages 2 ½-5 years of age. We feel this is beneficial to all the children, as they will learn from those both younger and older than them; which will truly build their social-emotional skills. |
